These cute boys are my nephews and were so easy! Can you tell they're brothers?:)

I always have the kids choose their own pose for a few and Britton decided "tough guy" was his image of choice! Too funny if you knew the sweet boy he is in real life:)

And Bennett was all smiles...can't ask for more from a 6 month old!

And this is what he thought about my idea for "just a few more" in black and white! He was like "you've had your chance lady!" But we got what we needed so that was just fine:)

This is my best friend Natalynn's sweet new girl! Natalynn's mom Lynnda passed away when we were 18 so having baby Kate carry on her name is really special. When we were growing up, I think i spent as much time at Natalynn's house as mine! Everyone was always welcome there, so even though Lynnda had 6 kids, she always ended up feeding about 12 every night at dinner! I hope my kids have friendships that last like mine and Natalynn's:)

This cute couple did a great job of hiding how freezing they were on the salt flats! And Leslie even resisted slapping me when I asked her to fluff her hair for the hundredth time! (but look how cute her hair is!) I can't wait for their Oakland wedding in April!

Last Saturday was the big day for my sister Emily! It was a gorgeous/freezing cold wedding! My dad told my two youngest sisters they had better plan now to have a summer wedding because he's not up for any more of these "winter wonderland things." And a big thanks to my assistant Kim, who kept me organized enough and worked the camera so I could actually be in a few of the photos! Emily and Stephen were one of the easiest, most photogenic couples I've worked with, even if I am a little biased!

Savannah woke up with a fever at 3 that morning and all I could do was give her tylenol and watch her be miserable! Of course she was perfectly fine the next morning!

(I knew I should have worn taller heels...)

This fun wedding was in Twin Falls Idaho. These families have tons of personality and how cool is their rose garden reception!? Memorable note: I fell in 3 (count them...three!)holes over the course of this wedding! (sprinkler installation season at the temple?) Jake and Jess suppressed their laughter quite admirably.:)

We shot this cute family's photos out in Lakeshore and everything was beautiful except....the carnivorous misquitoes! Between my neice Brianna and I (Brianna is nice enough to come help me on a lot of sessions), we have over 200 bites!!! Little Camrie had had quite enough of me by the end of the session and I really can't blame her! But the Clayton's were such good sports and you wouldn't know from their pictures that they were being eaten alive right?

We decided to get a few more shots of Heather minus the hurricane weather of her first session! Although, it still started clouding up again right as we were getting started! Heather is a first grade teacher and I was impressed with her optimism after a full day of 6-year olds and clouds the second time in a row! I think our persistence paid off though, because we got some great shots. (I'm also really liking the Provo Library...I love old buildings).

I just wanted to share this beautiful slideshow with anyone who's interested...it's definitely worth your while! The photographer is Phillip Toledano. It's so beautifully honest and nothing is overdone. It inspired me to photograph my grandparents. (click on the picture to see it).

This week I am entering a nature photo competition at the Bean Museum at BYU (yes, the dead animal museum:) They will be judged on Friday the 13th:) These are the 4 pictures I was debating over:

On a side note, I have decided Savannah is an excellent picture subject and a horrible companion to have on a shoot...she insisted on sitting with her butt in the snow and then started screaming when she discovered her bum was feeling frozen...hmm. I ended up going with the sunset...hopefully it was the right choice. What do you think?

Yep, this is part of our family:) Between them all I think they have every type of personality covered! Their boys were very cooperative compared to most of the pre-teen crowd! Little Britton wasn't having any of my craziness but he was so cute in spite of himself! They were a lot of fun to photograph.
